I rode Wildtracks today for the first time 30.08.08, i'd put myself in the novice class so i was alittle put off when i see the paddock full. Broken into 4 sessions, 50/65cc, 85/150cc and 2 x adult groups 125-450cc, mixed standard of rider. The track is sand and in great condition and is fast flowing, alot of the jumps were ski jumps that dropped away quite severley on the landing which came as a bit of a shock the first time but became enjoyable before the end of the day, alot of the jumps are on a slight corner which meant attacking them from a angle, this might concern a novice. There are a couple of large table tops but no doubles. The track became rutty at the end of the day but held up well in general. Wildtracks attracts some really fast riders, at one point today i thought i was stood still, however credit to the guys there i didn't experience any aggresive passes. Facilities, organisation and safety are second to none, coloured flags on top of the control tower tie in with coloured wrist bands to indicate what session is out. Marshalls do a good job and a light system all around the track of flashing amber and red lights keep riding under control, any fallers are delt with swiftly. Finally, 10/10 i had a great day, i'd recommend it to anyone to visit, my only regret is i wish i was faster.
